July 6, Fineko/abc.az. The retail trade in Baku for Jan-May 2026 totaled 15.107 bn manats (4% more versus Jan-May 2025), the Baku City Statistics Department informs.

The value of food, beverages, and tobacco products sold in retail chains increased by 2.2% compared with Jan-May of the previous year, reaching 8.189 bn manats and non-food products by 6.7% up to 6.918.1 million manats.

Compared with Jan-May 2025, the retail trade turnover for Jan-May 2026 grew by 1% for enterprises in real terms and by 5.9% for individual entrepreneurs, markets, and fairs.

38.5% of consumer goods were sold at enterprises with legal status, 48.3% at retail outlets owned by individual entrepreneurs, and 13.2% at commodity markets in the capital.
