August 27, Fineko/abc.az. China's Alibaba Group has introduced "Qwen3.8-Flash," the latest addition to its Qwen series, aimed at driving global adoption of its flagship technology through lower pricing.

The model features 125 billion parameters with open weights, designed to compete directly with rivals such as Anthropic's Opus 4.6 and DeepSeek's V4-Flash. Backed by a 380-billion-yuan ($57 billion) AI investment commitment, the company recently raised 80 billion Hong Kong dollars ($10.2 billion) via a secondary listing to support its expanding portfolio.
