June 24, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May 2026, the segment of voluntary motor vehicle insurance (CASCO) in Azerbaijan recorded growth both in terms of premiums and in terms of compensation payments.

ABC.AZ reports that according to Central Bank’s official data, insurance companies accumulated 29.1 million manats in premiums for this type of insurance for Jan-May 2026 and paid compensations for 15.4 million manats.

Compared with Jan-May 2025, the following changes were observed:

Insurance premiums: Premiums increased by 600,000 manats, or 1.9%, against Jan-May 2025 (28.5 million manats).

Insurance payments: The amount of compensated losses increased by 3.4 million manats, or by 27.7%, versus the Jan-May 2025 figure of 12 million manats.
