Azerbaijan ranks 4th among countries exporting oil to Georgia

June 22, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May 2026, Georgia imported 55,601 tons of oil and petroleum oils from Azerbaijan for $52.6 million.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the National Statistics Service of Georgia that the figure is 4-fold more in value terms and 3-fold more in quantity versus Jan-May 2025.

Thus, Azerbaijan ranked 4th among the countries from which Georgia imports oil and petroleum oils.

In the first 5 months of 2026, Georgia purchased 737,826 tons of oil and petroleum oils abroad for $635.5 million (28% and 11% more than a year earlier, respectively).

Georgia imported 309,400tons for $220 million from Russia, 67,300 tons of oil and petroleum oils for $84.4 million from Turkey, 77,400 tons for $61.5 million from Romania, and 50,000 tons for $44.1 million from Bulgaria.
