Russian State Duma Passes Law Hiking Migration and Citizenship Fees Up to 12-Fold

June 10, Fineko/abc.az. The Russian State Duma has passed a bill sharply raising state duties and processing fees for foreign nationals.

ABC.AZ reports, citing Russian state updates, that the structural overhaul of migration tariffs faces significant increases across all integration steps.

The Adjusted Fee Structures (with USD equivalents):

  • Russian Citizenship: The application fee faces a 12-fold hike, jumping from 4,200 rubles to 50,000 rubles (~$695).

  • Temporary Residence Permit (RVP): The cost will surge from 1,920 rubles to 15,000 rubles (~$210).

  • Permanent Residence Permit (VNJ): Processing fees will increase fivefold, shifting from 6,000 rubles to 30,000 rubles (~$415).

  • Work Permits and Invitations: Employers will now pay 15,000 rubles (~$210) per foreign specialist hired. Additionally, official travel invitations to Russia will increase to 8,000 rubles (~$110) per individual.
