May 22, Fineko/abc.az. Despite the ongoing unstable political situation in the world, Tajikistan is experiencing its own stage of development. Agriculture, industry, and other sectors of the economy are expanding on an upward trend in our country.
ABC.AZ reports that these words were spoken by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, Ahliddin Nuriddinzod, at the Azerbaijan-Tajikistan Business Forum held in Baku.
He stated that in 2025, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan amounted to $14.47 million. This marks a 45% increase compared to the turnover recorded in 2024.
"However, the economic potential of both nations allows for a further increase in trade volume, and we must strengthen our cooperation by utilizing this potential," the Deputy Minister noted.
According to him, there are solid opportunities to invest in Tajikistan's agriculture, industry, and energy sectors: "In addition to state guarantees provided for these investments, the legislation has also created extensive opportunities. Favorable tax incentives generate interest for investors to make large-scale commitments, which Tajikistan successfully implements. Around 200 diverse incentives are applied for foreign investors."
"Azerbaijan is a close and friendly country for us, and therefore we call on local businessmen to invest in Tajikistan," the Deputy Minister added.
