Axios: Ceasefire between U.S. and Iran to take effect after opening of Strait of Hormuz

April 8, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. assumes that ceasefire with Iran will take effect after the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.

ABC.AZ informs, quoting Axios correspondent Barak Ravid as saying this on X.

"The White House representative stated that the ceasefire will take effect when Iran opens the Strait of Hormuz," he wrote. Earlier on Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump said he was postponing possible strikes on Iran's civilian infrastructure for two weeks, provided Tehran opens the Strait of Hormuz.
