April 2, Fineko/abc.az. As of the end of February, the number of payment cards in circulation through the systems of banks and Azerpocht LLC increased by 191,000 cards against the previous month and reached 22.347 million cards.

ABC.AZ reports that the indicator grew by 10% year-on-year. At the same time, the number of debit cards grew by 13%, while the number of credit cards decreased by 8%.

During February, the non-cash transactions within the country increased by 15% compared with the 2025 same term and amounted to 8.2 billion manats.

Of this amount, 7.171 billion manats accounted for e-commerce. The rest (1.026 billion manats) was spent through POS-terminals, and 3 million manats through self-service terminals and ATMs.

Since the beginning of the year, the share of non-cash transactions on payment cards within the country made up 69.7% of the overall volume of card transactions.
