September 29, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 20 years, $344 bn has been invested in the Azerbaijani economy.

ABC.AZ informs that Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov stated about this, when delivering speech at the INMerge Innovation Summit in Baku.

He noted that out of $344 bn invested in the Azerbaijani economy to reduce the country's oil and gas dependence, more than $210 bn accounted for the non-oil sector:

"From 2021 to 2024, the non-oil economy grew by an average of 6.7% per year and became the main driving force of overall economic growth. Over the past 6 years, non-oil/gas exports have doubled, and our foreign exchange reserves have reached a historic maximum and are at the same volume as country's GDP. Azerbaijan is already not only an importer, but also an exporter of capital."
