September 5, Fineko/abc.az. The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has amended the resolution “On Customs Duty Rates for Export and Import Operations in the Republic of Azerbaijan” dated April 22, 1998.

According to ABC.AZ, Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed the new decision in connection with these changes.

Under the resolution, the import of electric buses (without seats, handrails, and monitors) brought in by residents of industrial parks for industrial production (assembly) with the appropriate permits from the Ministry of Economy is exempt from customs duties.

The resolution comes into effect on August 1, 2025, and will remain in force until January 1, 2027.

Another government resolution stipulates that after the preferential period ends, a customs duty of 15% per imported electric bus will apply.
