Ferrari Sells One-Off First EV for $40 Million at Auction

August 18, Fineko/abc.az. Italian luxury sports car maker Ferrari (RACE.MI) announced that it has sold a bespoke, one-off version of the Luce — its first fully electric vehicle — for $40 million at auction. The automaker added that the proceeds will be used to fund educational projects aimed at helping young people.

The vehicle was purchased during an auction at Monterey Car Week by U.S. billionaire investor and Ferrari collector Herbert A. Wertheim, an optometrist and founder of optical lens technologies manufacturer Brain Power Inc.
