Air China H1 Net Loss Widens to $341 Million on Higher Fuel Costs

22:31 - 30.08.2026

August 30, Fineko/abc.az. Chinese flag carrier Air China reported a net loss of 2.3 billion yuan ($341 million) for the first half of 2026, according to a filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange. The loss widened from 1.8 billion yuan recorded in the same period a year earlier.

Despite a recovery in passenger revenue and total turnover, elevated global jet fuel prices and operational pressures continued to weigh heavily on the airline's bottom line.
