September 5, Fineko/abc.az. New rules for obtaining loans for students enrolled in secondary and higher education institutions in Azerbaijan will be introduced starting from the 2025-2026 academic year.
According to ABC.AZ, citing the Student Education Loan Fund, the minimum score requirement will be 40 when applying for a standard educational loan for students enrolled in secondary vocational education specialties that require special abilities.
In other cases, to receive a loan for secondary vocational education, the applicant's score at the sub-bachelor's level must be at least 110.
Students admitted to higher education institutions based on the results of the SAT exam will be able to receive a standard student loan in the first semester of the first academic year. For this, a minimum threshold of 1200 points has been set.
The new rules only apply to standard student loans, while the minimum score requirement does not apply to social loans.
