August 27, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of liquefied gas fuel production in Azerbaijan in the first half of 2025 increased by more than 24%.

According to ABC.AZ, at the Heydar Aliyev SOCAR Oil Refinery, 112,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas were produced in the first two quarters.

In the previous year, this figure amounted to 90,000 tons. However, this indicator is lower than the 122,200 tons and 121,900 tons recorded in the first half of 2022 and 2023, respectively. It should be noted that each 1,000 cubic meters of liquefied petroleum gas consumed in Azerbaijan as automotive fuel costs 65 gapiks, while compressed natural gas (CNG) costs 40 gapiks.
