July 13, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover totaled $22.1646 billion in January–May 2026, up 9.5% compared to the same period last year.

According to the State Statistics Committee, exports reached $15.3463 billion during the reporting period, marking a 49.2% year-on-year increase.

Non oil-gas exports amounted to $5.132 billion, which is 3.7 times higher than in January–May 2025.

Meanwhile, imports declined by 31.6% year on year to $6.8183 billion.

As a result, Azerbaijan's foreign trade surplus reached $8.528 billion. For comparison, the foreign trade surplus stood at $7.0111 billion at the end of January–April 2026.
