July 13, Fineko/abc.az. Araz Mehdiyev has been appointed the new Chief Financial and Commercial Director of SOCAR Upstream Management International LLC, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company (SOCAR).

Prior to this, he worked as a member of the Board of SOCAR-Fugro LLC, Director of the Reporting & Control Department of SOCAR.

Mehdiyev was appointed a member of the Board of Directors at SOCAR Midstream in April 2025.

He received his bachelor's degree in Administrative Management from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and his master's degree in Business Organization and Management from the Azerbaijan State University of Oil & Industry.
