August 4, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of green loans in Azerbaijan has exceeded 330 million manats.

ABC.AZ informs that from November 11, 2024 to June 30, 2025, 12,762 green financial loans were given in Azerbaijan. The total volume of those loans amounted to 330.24 million manats.

The largest part of the given green loans in terms of added value, i.e. 134.01 million manats, was allocated to the green transport sector. Financial support was provided to 287 loans in this area. 

The 2nd place is occupied by the sphere of sustainable agriculture, animal husbandry and aquaculture – 12,285 loans were given in this area, the total amount of which totaled 91.05 million manats.
The energy efficiency sector ranks 3rd, with 37.51 million manats allocated for 89 loans. In addition, 5 loans were given for renewable energy sources for totally 18.64 million manats.
Other notable areas are sustainable water resources management (14.60 million manats), circular economy and waste management (14.70 million manats), and biodiversity protection (1.25 million manats). 
The volume of sustainability–related non-green loans in the overall loan portfolio reached a total of 90,000 manats, while green bonds and other areas within the country - 18.18 million manats.
