July 31, Fineko/abc.az. In the 2nd quarter of 2025, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) carried out drilling operations in the amount of 18,000 m, produced 1.8 million tons of oil and 2 bcm of gas.

ABC.AZ informs that company's natural gas extraction grew by 8.5% versus Apr-Jun 2024.

In general, 6.8 million tons of crude oil were produced in Azerbaijan in the 2nd quarter of this year.

Compared with the 2024 same term, country’s gas production increased by roughly 1.4% and reached 12.7 bcm.

For the 2nd quarter, the volume of oil exported by SOCAR to foreign markets increased slightly against Q2 of 2024 up to approx. 4.2 million tons.

In the 2nd quarter of 2025, SOCAR processed more than 1.5 million tons of oil and over 766 million cu m of gas. Around 570,000 tons of petroleum, petrochemical and gas chemical products extracted at SOCAR enterprises in Azerbaijan were exported to foreign markets.
