June 25, Fineko/abc.az. The Board of Directors of the World Bank has approved $150 million in funding for Sri Lanka to improve the quality of primary health care.

ABC.AZ reports that the new project will expand the primary health care network throughout Sri Lanka, serving more than a thousand full-service institutions.

The lack of an official application mechanism and potential problems have led to the fact that primary health care facilities in Sri Lanka are not being fully used, and there is a density in tertiary health care facilities.

The previous project, supported by the World Bank, has already upgraded 550 primary health care facilities with the necessary equipment, medicines, medical personnel and basic laboratory facilities.
