April 3, Fineko/abc.az. Electric car manufacturer Tesla delivered 422,875 cars in the 1st quarter of 2023,
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the company that this is 36.4% more in annual and 4.3% in quarterly terms.
Tesla delivered 412,180 electric vehicles of models 3 and Y, and 10,695 cars of models S and X.
Following Q1, company's production amounted to 440,808 electric vehicles. This is 1.4 times more in annual terms and only 0.3% in quarterly terms. Last quarter, Tesla produced 421,371 electric cars of models 3 and Y, as well as 19,437 cars of models S and X.
The company notes that it continues the transition to more uniform regional distribution of electric vehicle production, which includes the direction of assembly of the S and X models in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, as well as Asia-Pacific region.
American company Tesla Motors, headed by Elon Musk, was founded in 2003 as a developer and manufacturer of electric vehicles and technologies related to them. In addition to electric vehicles, the company produces batteries and electric motors using its own technology and sells them to other automotive companies, in particular Toyota and Daimler. In 2021, the company's headquarters was relocated from Palo Alto to Austin, Texas.
