September 16, Fineko/abc.az. The quantity of people who traveled as tourists from Azerbaijan to other countries has increased for the past 8 months of 2022.

The State Statistics Committee reports that the number of our citizens who left Azerbaijan for abroad grew 1.8-fold (versus Jan-Aug 2021) up to 983,000 people.

During the year, the number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling to Iran increased 3.4-fold, to Turkey 1.8-fold, to Georgia 1.8-fold, to Russia 1.2-fold.

48% of Azerbaijani citizens visited Turkey, 17% Russia, 11.4% Iran, 8.4% Georgia, and 15.2% other countries.

Males made up 63.9% and females 36.1%.
