Difference between salaries of employees and CEO increases even more

June 7, Fineko/abc.az. The study published by the Institute for Policy Studies shows that the difference in salaries of employees and CEOs in 300 companies with the lowest wages in the U.S. increased even more in 2021.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the study, the wage difference increased from an average of 604 to 670 times a year, and the difference was more than 1,000 times in 49 companies.

The average salary of the CEO in the surveyed companies increased by $2.5 million up to $10.6 million a year, and the average salary of employees by $3,556 up to $23,968 a year. The growth of companies' salaries below inflation and low wages have recently pushed employees to new actions in search of better wages, better working conditions or work-life balance.

During the last year, in a wave known as the "big retirement", many employees began to leave their companies.
