August 11, Fineko/abc.az. As of July 1, 2026, the number of hired employees in Azerbaijan reached 1,787.4 thousand people.

According to the State Statistics Committee, 844.6 thousand workers were employed in the public sector, while 942.8 thousand operated in the non-public sector.

• Education: 17.8%

• Industry: 13.9%

• Healthcare & Social Services: 8.6%

• Construction: 6.7%

• Public Administration, Defense & Social Security: 6.1%

• Transportation & Storage: 4.4%

• Professional, Scientific & Technical Activities: 3.9%

• Finance & Insurance: 2.4%

• Agriculture, Forestry & Fishing: 2.3%

• Other Sectors: 15.1%
