October 16, Fineko/abc.az. According to the State Statistics Committee, from January to September 2026, the average annual inflation in the country was 5.7%.

Food, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased in price by 6.9%, non-food products by 3.7%, and paid services by 5.5%.

Consumer prices in September grew by 0.9% against the previous month and by 5.5% compared with September 2025.

Also, for January-August, the average monthly nominal wage of employees observed growth by 7.2% up to 1,173 manats, which, adjusted for inflation, is 1.4%.

The average salary in the oil & gas sector increased from 3,849.8 manats up to 4,395.8 manats and in the non-oil/gas sector from 1,042.6 manats up to 1,115.1 manats.

The average monthly salary at state-owned enterprises reached 1,168 manats and at private enterprises - 1,177 manats.
