Azerbaijan's external debt has grown

October 12, Fineko/abc.az. According to World Bank’s report, Azerbaijan's external debt has doubled over the past 10 years.

ABC.AZ reports that if in 2010 the external debt raised from all sources was $7.25 bn, by the end of 2020 it amounted to $15.812 bn.

Country's long-term debt obligations amount to $15.139 bn. The borrowings under state guarantees reached $14 bn.

For this period the inflow of foreign direct investments in the country sharply decreased. In particular, this indicator, which was $3.35 bn in 2010, fell to $507 million in 2020.
