August 31, Fineko/abc.az. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated in an interview with state media that the country's foreign trade turnover has dropped by 25% to 35% under the pressure of U.S. sanctions and naval blockades.

According to official reports cited by IRNA, Pezeshkian noted that imports suffered a steeper decline than exports. Dismissing claims that sanctions have had no economic impact, the president emphasized that the trade figures reflect reality and urged the nation to accept current wartime economic conditions while implementing fiscal countermeasures.
