November 16, Fineko/abc.az. Moody's Investors Service forecasts that the current account deficit of Azerbaijan's balance of payments will amount to 2.6% of GDP this year.
ABC.AZ reports that in 2021 the current account balance is expected to reach 4% of GDP, returning to surplus.
Fitch Ratings forecasts that Azerbaijan's current account deficit will amount to 4.1% of GDP this year, S&P Global Ratings - 4%, the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development and the International Monetary Fund – 3.6%, and the World Bank – 0.7%.
It should be noted that since the first half of 2020 the current account surplus of Azerbaijan's balance of payments has amounted to 3% of GDP, or $598.2 million. In 2019, this figure was 9.1% of GDP, or $4.364 billion.
