June 10, Fineko/abc.az. Proper management of external debt decides the country's fate, says Vusal Gasimli, the executive director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms & Communications.

According to Gasimli, the main goal of public debt management is to achieve gradual reduction of GDP rate by ensuring the sustainability of public debt: "This requires the creation of a strategic framework for public debt management in the medium-term prsopect, as well as the selection of optimal financial instruments, taking into account the appropriate balance of costs and risks. It is important that the state does not guarantee, but effectively uses external debts taken by state-governed organizations."
