September 24, Fineko/abc.az. An event organized by the U.S. government on the theme "Prosperity through Peace: Investments in the Trans-Caspian Trade Route and TRIPP" was held as part of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Delivering speech at the event, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov presented Azerbaijan's position on strengthening regional ties, creating sustainable supply chains and expanding investment opportunities.

He underlined that the TRIPP program, which is one of the key results of the Washington Summit, will ensure unhindered multimodal transport links between the main territory of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and will contribute to strengthening regional peace.

During the speech, the role of Azerbaijan's long-term investments in the development of an integrated logistics hub based on the Baku International Commercial Sea Port and the Alat Free Economic Zone was stressed.

Noting the importance of digitalization of logistics management and simplification of customs procedures, Bayramov cited the example of successfully implemented coordination roadmaps with Kazakhstan, Turkey and Georgia.

The minister also expressed gratitude to the American side for supporting the project.
