July 23, Fineko/abc.az. The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Turkey decided to keep the key interest rate at 37% again on July 23. The regulator also kept the overnight lending rate at 40% and the overnight borrowing rate at 35.5%.
According to the Turkish Central Bank, inflation slowed down slightly in May due to higher global energy prices, but prices remain volatile and elevated. This is due to geopolitical uncertainty. Additionally, data from the first quarter of 2026 indicates slowdown in economic activity and decrease in domestic demand.
