July 23, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 401,157 smartphones for $183.8 million for Jan-May 2026.

The State Statistics Committee reports that the value of imports observed growth by 26% versus Jan-May 2025, while the number of devices decreased by 13%.

Our country imported 297,114 smartphones from China for $139.5 million (a rise of 26% in value and a drop of 19% in quantity) and 95,177 ones for $38.2 million from Vietnam (a rise of 21% in value and a drop of 14% in quantity).

In addition, Azerbaijan imported 8,730 smartphones for $6 million from India (a rise of 82% in value and 39% in quantity), 96 phones for $126,000 from Thailand (no deliveries a year ago), and 20 phones for $17,800 from South Korea (a drop of 36% in value and 91% in quantity).

In 2025, 80.4% of Azerbaijan’s smartphone imports (1,344,329 phones) was carried out from China.
