July 23, Fineko/abc.az. The European Central Bank (ECB), in line with market expectations, has kept the deposit rate at 2.25%.
The rate on the main refinancing operations remained at 2.40%, and on margin loans at 2.65%. At a press conference, ECB President Christine Lagarde said that the volatility of energy prices due to the conflict in the Middle East is increasing inflationary risks.
She emphasized that the regulator does not have a predetermined rate path and that decisions will be made at each meeting based on incoming macroeconomic data.
