July 7, Fineko/abc.az. At today's Milli Majlis plenary session, the draft amendments to the Tax Code was adopted in the first reading.

The new law will provide an important financial benefit for taxpayers who do not operate in the oil & gas sector and belong to the non-governmental (private) sector.

According to the change, starting from January 1, 2027, for 14-day period, entrepreneurs will be given the opportunity to pay mandatory state social insurance contributions for their employees (payments to the State Social Security Fund) using the free funds available on the VAT deposit account.

This mechanism will be regulated by the rules and conditions determined by the relevant executive authority. This change aims to increase the cash flow (liquidity) of entrepreneurs working in the private sector and reduce their financial burden.

The law will come into force on January 1, 2027.
