Accounts Chamber reveals main risks associated with draft budget

June 12, Fineko/abc.az. In the budget documentation on the Draft State Budget for 2025, fluctuations in crude oil prices, financial obligations under government debt and guarantees, failure to provide budget expenditures with stable sources of income, and climate change were identified as the main risks.

ABC.AZ informs that Accounts Chamber’s chairman Vugar Gulmamedov stated this at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis extraordinary session during the discussion of the Bill on Execution of State Budget 2025.

"Of those risks, oil prices and climate change were not actual in the reporting year, and concerns about concentration of demand for short-term bonds were largely eliminated in relation to government debt. Along with the listed risks, the Accounts Chamber, in its response to the Draft State Budget 2025, as well as in the information published for the 1st half of the year for the first 6 months of 2025, pointed out additional fiscal risks that it considers actual, as well as those points that need to be taken into account," he said.
