April 22, Fineko/abc.az. In Azerbaijan, the creation of financial leasing companies and the expansion of such services is not an end in itself.

ABC.AZ reports that MP Azer Amiraslanov stated this at a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship.

"First of all, it is an opportunity to create an alternative financing mechanism. Today, the most pressing issue is financing economic growth, the availability of investment opportunities and financial resources for entrepreneurship. It is as an alternative financing mechanism that allows us to achieve these goals," he said.

According to the MP, financial leasing companies are widespread in the world and are considered one of the key subjects of the financial market: "Therefore, it is not accidental that the Central Bank of Azerbaijan has developed such a project. The Bank is the main regulator of the financial market, and similar companies, as its participants, enter this market. From this angle, we believe that as an alternative financing mechanism, these structures will be of great importance in the future. It is also a kind of fundamental financial intermediation tool. On the one hand, free cash is being generated, on the other, there are business entities in need of finance. It is through the mediation of financial leasing companies that, on the one hand, the money supply is regulated, and on the other hand, the needs of the economy for financial resources are met."
