September 9, Fineko/abc.az. According to the Italian Ministry of Environment & Energy Security, Azerbaijan supplied 3.74 million tons of oil to Italy in the 1st half of 2026, maintaining its status as the 2nd largest supplier of raw materials to this country.
During this period, Azerbaijan's overall oil supplies decreased by 26.2% year-on-year, but country's share in Italy's total oil imports (28.77 million tons) was 13%.
Imports of crude Azeri Blend grew by 23.8% and reached 1.66 million tons, while shipments of Azeri Light dropped by 44.3% to 2.07 million tons.
Libya became the largest supplier of raw materials to Italy with volume of 7.39 million tons. Kazakhstan occupies the 2nd place after Azerbaijan (3.61 million tons), followed by the U.S. (more than 3 million tons) and Saudi Arabia (2.32 million tons).
