Gold Price Drops to $4,324

09:58 - 11.09.2026

September 11, Fineko/abc.az. Gold prices ticked up 0.2% on Friday to $4,324.79 per ounce but remained on track for a third consecutive weekly drop, losing over 2% for the week. US gold futures dropped 1% to $4,364.70.

The precious metal faced downward pressure as stronger-than-expected US Producer Price Index (PPI) data boosted expectations for a Federal Reserve interest rate hike next week. Rising yields and a firmer US dollar continue to weigh on non-yielding bullion.

Meanwhile, escalating Middle East geopolitical risks pushed crude oil benchmarks above $100 per barrel. Among other precious metals, silver fell over 4% for the week to $63.39 per ounce, while platinum and palladium slid to $1,773.93 and $1,278.51, respectively.
