February 5, Fineko/abc.az. SOCAR AQS participates in tenders for the implementation of projects in Iraq.

ABC.AZ reports that Elvin Nasibov, SOCAR AQS Turkey Country Manager, made this statement at Baku conference & exhibition IADC Drilling Caspian & Black Sea 2026.

According to Nasibov, SOCAR AQS participates in various tenders in the region in order to expand its business:

"Iraq is an example. We are currently in the process of bidding for the drilling of an exploration well in this country with one of the private operators in the region, Crescent Petroleum. The scope of the project consists of the "1 + 4" well. The first well will be an exploration well, and if everything goes well and the production results meet the customer's expectations, four more wells will be drilled. In addition, as part of our cooperation with Basra Oil Company (BOC), we are participating in a tender for drilling rigs with capacity of 2,000 hp. This contract will be concluded with the operation of the rigs."
