January 23, Fineko/abc.az. 2,570,200 foreigners and stateless persons from 189 countries visited Azerbaijan last year.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the State Statistics Committee, the figure is 2.1% less than in 2024.

Among the arrivals, 23.9% accounted for citizens of Russia, 17.7% - Turkey, 8.1% - Iran, 6.5% - India, 4.3% - Georgia, 4.1% - Saudi Arabia, 4.0% - Kazakhstan, 3.5% - Pakistan, 2.7% - Israel, 2.5% - China, 2.4% - Uzbekistan, 1.7% - UAE, 1.4% - Ukraine, 1.3% - Turkmenistan, by 1.0% from Belarus, the UK and Kuwait, 12.9% from other countries.

67.0% of those who arrived in Azerbaijan are men and 33.0% - women.

In 2025, the number of tourists from Israel grew 2.4-fold, Tajikistan - 1.6-fold, Jordan by 49.9%, China by 41.7%, Uzbekistan by 34.3%, Kyrgyzstan by 33.7%, the Netherlands by 27.5%, Japan by 25.8%, Kazakhstan by 20.1%, Italy by 13.7%, Pakistan by 12.5%, Germany by 11.1%.

The number of arrivals from the EU increased by 7% up to 120,100 people, while from the Persian Gulf countries decreased by 2.4% to 414,800 people and from the CIS countries by 8.2% to 865,700 people. The rate of arrivals from other countries grew by 2.0% up to 1,169,600 people.

75.8% of those who arrived in the country traveled by air, 22.9% by rail and road, and 1.3% by sea.
