January 23, Fineko/abc.az.U.S. President Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase and its CEO Jamie Dimon, demanding damages of at least $5 billion.
ABC.AZ reports that Trump claims that the largest U.S. bank unfairly closed his bank accounts in 2021, and the decision was politically motivated.

The lawsuit filed on Thursday increases pressure from Republican lawmakers on the banking sector amid accusations that large credit institutions are allegedly closing Conservative accounts for political reasons. JPMorgan, as well as other banks, including Bank of America, have previously denied such accusations.
The lawsuit on behalf of Donald Trump was filed by his lawyer Alejandro Brio in the Florida State Court in Miami-Dade County.
