Profit of construction sector declined by millions of manats

November 7, Fineko/abc.az. In 2024, the total profit of enterprises and organizations operating in the construction sector amounted to 3.519 billion manats. While in 2023, this figure was 3.6 billion manats.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the overall revenues of construction companies increased by 13.8% versus 2023, up to 18.356 billion manats.

Operating income totaled 18.339 billion manats, which is 2.225 billion manats or 13.8% more than the previous year's figure of 16.114 billion manats.

Revenues from the sale of goods, works and services increased by 20%, from 15.5 billion manats up to 18.18 billion manats. At the same time, other operating income fell sharply from 1.62 billion manats to 321.8 million manats.

The volume of assets at the end of 2024 reached 31.848.8 million manats, which is 6.3% more than 29.953 billion manats at the end of 2023.

Long-term assets decreased by 2.7%, from 16.513 billion manats to 16.063 billion manats. At the same time, the cost of land, buildings and equipment grew by 1.2 billion manats, or 9.6%, up to 13.608 billion manats.

Conversely, intangible assets and long-term accounts receivable showed a decrease.

And short–term assets increased by 17.4%, from 13.4 billion manats up to 15.8 billion manats.

In 2024, the capital grew by 7% up to 19.33 billion manats. Retained earnings increased from 3.25 billion manats up to 3.79 billion manats. Capital reserves also increased from 11.3 billion manats up to 12.1 billion manats. manats. At the same time, the paid-out share capital decreased slightly.
