Azerbaijan to introduce subsidy for farms dealing with small cattle

September 7, Fineko/abc.az. A subsidy will be introduced in Azerbaijan for farms engaged in the breeding of small cattle. The decision was made by the Agricultural Subsidy Council in order to improve the fodder base on pastures and pastures.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, farms with at least 100 hectares of pastures or pasture lands and containing 500 or more heads of small cattle will receive a subsidy of 4 manats for each registered animal.

The main condition for granting subsidies is to increase fertility and biodiversity in pastures and pastures provided to farms for use.

The condition of pastures and pastures of farms applying for this subsidy will be monitored in the Electronic Agricultural Information System (EKTIS), using the subsystem of land use and solutions based on artificial intelligence.
