Azeri Light Crude Price Drops 0.7% to $104.20 per Barrel

10:40 - 5.09.2026

September 5, Fineko/abc.az. The price of Azerbaijan's flagship Azeri Light (CIF) crude oil experienced a slight decline on global commodity exchanges, dropping by $0.78 or 0.7% to stand at $104.20 per barrel.

The pullback comes amid broader fluctuations in global energy markets as traders weigh macroeconomic indicators against supply-demand fundamentals. Historically, the lowest recorded price for Azeri Light was $15.81 per barrel in December 2020, while its all-time high reached $149.66 per barrel in July 2008. The bulk of Azerbaijani crude is exported to international markets via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline terminating at Turkey's Ceyhan port.
