October 23, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. Treasury Department imposes sanctions against large Russian oil companies and calls on Moscow to immediately cease fire. The Department’s website states that the restrictions will affect Rosneft and LUKOIL.

ABC.AZ informs that in addition, OFAC adds a number of Russian subsidiaries of Rosneft and LUKOIL to the sanctions list. All companies owned, directly or indirectly, by 50% or more of Rosneft and LUKOIL are blocked in accordance with Decree 14024, even if they are not included in the OFAC sanctions list.

It also became known that U.S. President Donald Trump canceled a planned meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Budapest.

“There was a feeling that it was wrong. It seemed to me that we would not achieve the desired goal,” Trump said at a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
