Car-Free Day to be held in Baku

September 12, Fineko/abc.az. As part of European Mobility Week, Baku will host a Car-Free Day.

According to ABC.AZ, the Azerbaijan Ground Transport Agency (AYNA) reported that it submitted an application for European Mobility Week in Baku, which was successfully approved. From September 16 to 22, events promoting sustainable mobility will take place, including the Car-Free Day.

Activities will include checks on micromobility and pedestrian safety, safe scooter-driving training for teenagers and students, and a cycling event. Interactive educational sessions will be held in secondary and higher education institutions, and a city bus tour will be organized for children to explain traffic flow and road signs.

On September 21, Car-Free Day will take place on Mohammad Nakhchivani Street. In the micromobility zone, operators will showcase various types of bicycles and scooters, as well as offer test drives and training sessions for the public.
