Area of new houses commissioned in Karabakh increased 2.7 times compared to last year

August 25, Fineko/abc.az. The total residential area commissioned in the Karabakh economic region in January–June this year amounted to 43,102 m².

This is 27.3 thousand m², or 2.7 times, more than in the same months of 2024. According to ABC.AZ, the State Statistics Committee reported these figures. In the Aghjabadi district, 13,380 m² of housing was commissioned (2.6 times more), in Aghdam — 4,702 m² (4.6 times more), in Barda — 13,520 m² (2.5 times more), in Fuzuli — 5,992 m² (2.9 times more), and in Tartar — 5,508 m² (2.5 times more). No information was provided on housing commissioned in Khankendi, Aghdara, Khojaly, Khojavend, and Shusha districts. Out of the 8.579 billion manats invested in the Karabakh economic region in January–June 2025, 97.3% or 8.351 billion manats were directed toward construction and installation works. Across Azerbaijan, 1.83 million m² of housing was commissioned in the first half of 2025, 1.128 million m², or 2.6 times more, than a year earlier. Of this, 90.2%, or 1.651 million m², were private residential and summer houses. During the reporting period, 6,645 m² of housing was built by state enterprises, while 1.73 million m² was built by non-state enterprises.
