September 7, Fineko/abc.az. The energy efficiency passport of the building will be included in the list of documents required to obtain a construction permit in Azerbaijan.

"The Committee has previously taken energy-related issues into account in the process of issuing construction permits, but the main focus was on reducing energy losses," Sahil Shukurlu, an official representative of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, said at a round table held as part of Baku Climate Week 2026 (BCAW 2026).

He added that the relevant system will be integrated into the process of issuing building permits, after which the energy efficiency passport of the building will be included in the list of required documents.
