Laying of a fiber-optic communication line through Caspian Sea may be completed next year

April 23, Fineko/abc.az. Cargo transportation along the Middle Corridor continues. At the same time, work on the project of laying a fiber-optic communication line through the bottom of the Caspian Sea is proceeding according to plan, and completion of this project is expected next year.

ABC.AZ informs that Kazakh Ambassador to Azerbaijan Alim Bayel made this statement at the IV meeting of the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Expert Council.

The diplomat noted that high-level visits contribute to development of bilateral relations. He added that work is also underway to start exporting "green" energy produced in Kazakhstan through Azerbaijan to Europe.

"Indicators on mutual trade and tourism development are growing every year. We organized a presentation of Kazakhstani universities in Baku. Azerbaijan is expected to join the Trade Organization of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation member countries this summer. Cooperation between our countries is at a high level. As President Ilham Aliyev noted, after the accident in Aktau last year, our friendship has become even stronger," the ambassador stressed.
