September 10, Fineko/abc.az. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has completed drilling of wells on field West Absheron.

SOCAR-AQS LLC reports that well #63 was drilled from offshore platform #10.

"The actual depth of the well is 762 m. Drilling was carried out to productive stratum Kirmaky Suite-3," the company said.

Socar’s sub-company Azneft was the well drilling customer.

The West Absheron field reserves are estimated in 10 million tons of oil.

SOCAR-AQS was established in 2007 between SOCAR and Absheron Drilling Company for drilling services and well servicing.

Currently, SOCAR-AQS is conducting drilling operations in the shallow part of Gunashli field, and fields Umid, Bulla and Western Absheron.
