July 8, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Apr 2026, Azerbaijan imported 3.85 tons of plums and blackthorns for $30,720 (17% more in value terms and 10% more in quantity terms against Jan-Apr 2025), the State Statistics Committee informs.

Azerbaijan purchased 3 tons of of plums and blackthorns for $24,000 from South Africa (22.5% more than last year, +25% in volume), 0.56 tons for $4.44,000 from Chile (+48%; +47% in volume), 0.25 tons for $2,000 from Vietnam, 0.03 tons for $150 from Iran (-96%; volume -96%), 0.01 tons for $130 from Thailand (no supplies a year earlier).

This year, plums and blackthorns have been imported from Vietnam for the first time in 16 years (note: official statistical data on foreign trade has been publicly available since 2011).
